Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable construction laborer to support our crew on residential renovation projects.
The Construction Laborer will assist with daily job site tasks, including material handling, demolition, cleanup, basic construction support, job site protection, and general assistance to the lead contractor and crew. This role is a good fit for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a residential construction environment.
Because much of our work takes place in customers’ homes, professionalism, respect for the property, and job site cleanliness are important parts of this position.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Assist with demolition, cleanup, and debris removal
- Load, unload, carry, and organize materials and tools
- Help prepare and protect job sites, including floors, walls, furniture, and work areas
- Assist with basic construction tasks as directed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow instructions from the lead contractor or supervisor
- Use basic hand tools and power tools safely
- Help with setup and breakdown at the beginning and end of each workday
- Support framing, drywall, trim, painting, flooring, deck, or remodeling tasks as needed
- Follow safety procedures and use proper protective equipment
- Communicate clearly when a task is unclear or when an issue comes up
- Treat customers’ homes, belongings, and property with care and respect
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous construction, remodeling, or labor experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to show up on time and work a full scheduled day
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physically demanding work
- Willingness to work in heat, cold, dust, and active job site conditions
- Ability to follow directions and take correction professionally
- Good communication skills
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Respectful attitude toward customers, coworkers, and job sites
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry materials, tools, and debris
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed
- Work on ladders when necessary
- Work in indoor and outdoor job site conditions
- Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions when required
- Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
